The Details
A civil ceremony was followed with an afternoon of relaxed socialising in the grounds of this beautiful Georgian manor house. As guests enjoyed champagne and canapes to the sounds of a contemporary string trio, children made the most of the extensive grounds and fun garden games.
The menu for the day had been carefully designed to incorporate the flavours of the bride’s native Sri Lanka. Particular emphasis was placed on ensuring the numerous vegetarian guests were just as well-catered for as the meat-eaters, and dinner was rounded off with the bride’s favourite dessert, vanilla panna cotta.
A vibrant colour palette of deep wine mixed with pink and purple was chosen for a warm summery feel. Eye-catching floral pedestals and tall centrepieces provided a stunning spectacle in the reception room, whilst mini fishbowls of single flower heads were used throughout the house to decorate relaxing chill-out areas. The bride’s love of all things pretty was reflected in the ribbon and diamante buckle stationery, whilst her passion for sweet treats meant that cookies were chosen for guest favours.
As dusk fell, the house took on a more funky atmosphere as coloured uplighting washed the interior in shades of purple. After the cutting of the cake, the design of which perfectly matched the lacework of the bride’s wedding gown, guests filled the dancefloor and boogied the night away to the sounds of some classic disco tunes.
Client Comments
“Thank you so much for being a wonderful wedding planner, organising the wedding and making it stress-free. It was great to put my trust in you and all your recommendations were spot on. Thank you for organising such a lovely wedding day. We had a great time and so did the guests. Our family and friends said everything was lovely on the day.
Thanks also for being more than a wedding planner and taking time to advise (and put my mind at ease) on various things. You were always very friendly and approachable and I knew I could discuss anything with you. I couldn’t have asked for a better planner!”
