On Wednesday I will be celebrating my third wedding anniversary. Apparently this is the year we become aware of the durability of our relationship, which is why leather is the traditional gift (personally I’d be happy with flowers or chocolates, but there we go!) .
Anyway, I thought it would be nice to create a design board based on my original wedding colour scheme of pale gold with subtle hints of soft pink. Whilst I had a traditional wedding, I’ve decided to incorporate a vintage feel into today’s design.
I just adore these soft and subtle tones. They’re so elegant and timeless, and are just perfect for a vintage theme. I imagine this wedding to take place in a luxury hotel, like the Ritz or Dorchester, with guests entertained by traditional 1920s jazz music. I love the idea of serving afternoon tea rather than a traditional wedding breakfast, with a classically English menu of smoked salmon sandwiches, Victoria sponges and clotted cream scones. Beautiful, elegant and sophisticated – my perfect kind of wedding!
