I recently spotted this fabulous turquoise and yellow bridal shower over on Style Me Pretty , and was totally inspired to apply the colour scheme to a wedding celebration. I just love the way that the two colours are so different, but yet work so well together and create a really vibrant atmosphere.

I see this as being a very modern and funky wedding, with minimal tradition and lots of fun and quirky features. For decoration I’d keep flowers to a minimum, and instead would use giant balloons and ribbons to decorate the reception space.

There would have to be a sweet station filled with all sorts of tasty goodies, along with a photo booth, moustaches on sticks (I mean, why not?!) and a juke box. I can easily see this wedding being held in an ultra-modern urban space, but I also like the idea of creating a fairground-style theme in the country, with hot dog stalls, coconut shies and a candy floss bar. Makes me think of just one thing – fun!
