Planning Advice
Today I’m super-excited to announce that we are now running a special winter offer of
20% off all wedding planning services booked before 31st January 2010
.
Winter is traditionally a time when wedding planning takes a back seat – let’s face it, both time and money are in high demand over the festive season! This means that it can also be a time when you start to feel increasingly stressed about your wedding, particularly if you are getting married in the Spring. Suddenly you’re getting married ‘this year’ and not next, and in the midst of all the Christmas shopping, parties and visiting you still need to find the time to keep on top of your wedding arrangements.

Wedding Planner Q&A
In our weekly Wedding Planner Q&A we look at how to deal with common anxieties, questions and problems that often crop up when you’re planning a wedding, and today we’re looking at how to deal with divorced parents at the wedding.
My parents got divorced some time ago and now both have new partners. They don’t get along at all and I’m worried that they’ll start arguing at the wedding. Do you have any advice as to how we can make sure they don’t ruin our day?

I have to admit that I’m not the biggest fan of Halloween, but even so I still love the idea of a holding a Halloween-themed wedding. Now I’m not talking about anything outrageous, like guests attending in fancy dress or monsters scattered around the reception room, but rather using blended tones and decor to add a touch of glamorous spookiness to the proceedings.

Wedding Planner Q&A
In our weekly Wedding Planner Q&A we look at how to deal with common anxieties, questions and problems that often crop up when you’re planning a wedding. Today I’m offering advice on how to tell your guests that children aren’t invited to the wedding.
Lots of our friends and relatives have young children, but we don’t want lots of children running around at our wedding. How can we tell them children aren’t invited without causing offence?

Wedding Planner Q&A
In our weekly Wedding Planner Q&A we look at how to deal with the anxieties, questions and problems that often crop up when you’re planning a wedding, and today I’m offering advice on how to deal with an unhelpful bridesmaid.
I asked my friend to be a bridesmaid when I first got engaged, but she isn’t helping me with any of the planning or providing any of the support I need. She doesn’t seem to have any interest in the wedding and I feel she’s making my life more difficult and stressful. I don’t really want her to be a bridesmaid any more, but how can I tell her without losing her friendship?

Best Blogs
Like many other wedding planners, I spend a fair bit of my time reading wedding blogs. They are fantastic sources of inspiration and are packed with all sorts of features, including DIY projects, real weddings, supplier showcases and new products out on the market. My head’s usually buzzing with ideas after just a few minutes of reading!
So I thought I’d share some of my favourite blog reads with you over the next few months. Hopefully you’ll enjoy reading them as much as I do, and will find them useful when it comes to designing and planning your own wedding day. The first one I wanted to highlight is
Temple of Groom
, which is a bit different from most wedding blogs in that it’s run by a groom planning his forthcoming wedding.
