Mood Board Monday #23 – Winter’s Chill

With temperatures below freezing and white-over frosts in a morning, winter seems to have now well and truly arrived. Even as I’m writing this there are large snowflakes billowing around outside my window! So today I’ve taken my inspiration from the seasonal weather and have designed a cool, wintry board that would be perfect for a December or January wedding.
I see this being quite a clean and minimalistic wedding set in a chic urban venue with floor to ceileing windows overlooking the twinkling lights of the city. I’d use scatterings of crystals and fairy lights for decoration, with ‘snowy’ branches framing doorways and an ice sculpture taking centre stage at the reception.
Shades of frosty blues and greys complement the chilly atmosphere of this board, but to avoid it feeling too cold I would also incorporate occasional touches of soft pink and gold, for example in the floral arrangements and bridal accessories.
