A Chocolate Lover’s Paradise

I have to confess to being a self-proclaimed chocoholic, so I was super-excited when I discovered the absolutely amazing chocolate wedding cakes at Choccywoccydoodah . They’re based in Brighton, but if you don’t fancy a trip to the seaside you can also arrange a consultation at the gourmet chocolate boutique ‘La Anabela’ in London’s Covent Garden.

Each cake is a true work of art, with exquisite decorations hand-crafted from pure chocolate and dyed to match your colour scheme. Not only do they look fabulous, but their fillings sound amazing – choose from dark chocolate or lemon layered with chocolate truffle, spicy chilli chocolate, or boozy, chocolate, fruit and nut cake.

Their bespoke cakes in particular are breathtaking and are certain to prove a talking point for your guests. I’m particularly in love with their “Simply Extraordinary” design – just how do they get those spheres to sit like that?!

Now you may think that designs like these are going to be expensive, but for the craftsmanship and attention to detail that goes into each cake I think they’re excellent value for money. Their smaller designs feed around 40 people and cost in the region of £300, whilst larger cakes for 100+ people cost between £600-£1500 depending on the size and design.

If your budget can’t quite stretch this far they also have a range of Housestyle and Designer Cakes. The Housestyle range is a series of set designs for 8-100 people and starts at £29.99, whilst the four cakes in the Designer range are priced at £195 for 40 people and with more customisable decorations.

Now, what excuse can I find to order one of those delicious Doric columns…?!
