My husband and I have just had a lovely couple of days away as a wedding anniversary treat at the beautiful Lythe Hill Hotel and Spa in Surrey . Now whilst I was there to relax and enjoy myself, my wedding brain just couldn’t resist taking in all the details, and what a stunning setting for a wedding it would be.
The hotel is nestled amidst peaceful Surrey countryside, and combines historical beauty with modern elegance. It is licensed for civil ceremonies, and the well-maintained grounds provide ample photograph opportunities. The original Tudor house now houses the restaurant, and the hotel has been sympathetically incorporated onto the site to provide modern facilities whilst still maintaining the natural character and atmosphere of the original buildings.
Whilst the hotel and grounds are beautiful, and the staff friendly and efficient, the real jewel has to be the Amarna Spa . Set away from the main hotel with views across the sloping lawns, this is the perfect place for rest and relaxation – just what you need after all those months of planning, and what better way to start your wedding celebration than with a day of pampering?!
