Spring is definitely my favourite season for flowers. With so many different colours, textures and shapes I always find myself brimming with design ideas at this time of year – from vibrant sunshine yellow to delicate cherry blossom pink , there are so many different styles you can go for.
I would always recommend using flowers that are in season at the time of your wedding. They’re more readily available and can often be sourced locally, meaning they’re less expensive and also more eco-friendly. Check out some of my favourite spring blooms that are just perfect for weddings…
Daffodils – not just available in vivid yellow, these flowers are great for simple, stylish bouquets or for packing into vases for cheery and inexpensive centrepieces
Tulips – so simple, yet so beautiful!
Hyacinths – place in wooden pots for a rustic feel or combine with other spring flowers for a stylish arrangement
Ranunculus – I love, love, love these flowers! They make stunning arrangements either alone or in combination with other blooms such as roses and peonies
Lily of the valley – these delicate little flowers would be the perfect complement for a simple bridal gown
Anemones – pastel shades just ooze sophistication, whilst brighter colours are an excellent complement for more vibrant arrangements
